J. Reid Cummings

With over 32 years of experience in real estate development, leasing, management, brokerage, financial consulting, mortgage lending, and construction services, Reid has completed multiple large-scale commercial, residential, and resort development projects throughout the country.  Reid holds a Doctorate in Finance from Kennesaw State University, an MBA from the University of Mobile, and a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  In addition to holding the CCIM, CSM, ALC, CRB, RML, SFR, CIPS, and MRICS professional designations, Reid is also a graduate of Leadership Mobile and The Buckley School for Public Speaking.  As a long-time member, director, and executive leader of the Mobile Area Association of Realtors, he served as President in 2000 and won the Association’s Realtor of the Year Award in 2001.  For 12 years, Reid was a member of the City of Mobile Board of Zoning Adjustment, serving as Chairman for 8 years.  Since 2006, he has served on the University of South Alabama’s Center for Real Estate and Economic Development Advisory Board.  In 2011, Governor Robert Bentley appointed Reid to the Alabama Real Estate Commission.
